Many of us will remember George Clark, Professor Emeritus of English at Queen's University, who attended the CSM Annual Conferences quite regularly. George was a specialist in Old English and Old Norse and regularly presented on texts like Beowulf and The Battle of Maldon. He was an active scholar into his nineties and long after he retired. George passed away after a brief illness on July 28, 2026 at the age of 94.  He will be missed by members of this society.
